Becky returned home from Sofia on Monday with two European medals. The first medal was a team silver that Becky and the rest of her team won on Saturday afternoon. The team had a phenomenal competition finishing ahead of Russia for the first time ever and taking home the silver medal behind champions Romania.
On Sunday Becky was crowned the new 2014 EUROPEAN BAR CHAMPION !!!! Becky produced the bar routine of a lifetime scoring a massive 15.50 beating Olympic champion Aliya Mustafina to take GOLD !!!!
Becky's younger sister Ellie also had an incredible championships at junior level. Ellie's team won Britain's first ever junior team medal last Wednesday taking silver behind champions Russia. Then Ellie went on to win Britain's first ever individual All Around medal at a European championships on Friday finishing ahead of teammate Catherine Lyons who placed 4th. Ellie then ended her week of competition in style by being crowned the 2014 Junior EUROPEAN VAULT CHAMPION !!!! Returning home from Sofia with the complete set of European medals !!
